GREENTECH FESTIVAL: Sustainability Event

Branding / Communication Design / Art Direction

EXPOSITION

GREENTECH FESTIVAL is a global platform for green technology and innovation. Over two years, I led the visual identity and onsite branding across two major editions at Messe Berlin, as well as international events in London, Los Angeles, and Singapore. The challenge was delivering a fresh, high-impact festival experience across massive venues, balancing production with budget limits and a practical sustainability mindset.

PLOT TWIST

In event design at this scale, being realistic is key. Instead of reinventing the wheel or throwing everything away after each event, we built a flexible, modular system. We combined new targeted prints, signage, and contextual messaging with reused spatial structures and adapted brand assets, keeping the festival looking sharp and evolving without unnecessary waste.

ACTION

I managed the art direction from initial marketing campaigns to full onsite execution. By designing clear wayfinding systems, large-scale environmental graphics, and vibrant stage backdrops, we transformed cold exhibition halls into engaging festival spaces. The result was a cohesive, adaptable visual language that made the brand feel energetic and distinct for thousands of visitors worldwide.

THE FUTURE IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS

When designing and writing for massive exhibition spaces, my goal goes beyond creating functional wayfinding. It’s about building a shareable, high-impact moment.

I used double-meaning bold typography to turn a standard corporate message into an active call to reflection. The phrase plays on the word business, shifting the focus from industrial economics to personal responsibility.

The sign didn't just capture attention, it became a backdrop for visitors to photograph, share, and amplify online, proving that when messaging is both visually striking and thought-provoking, people naturally become part of spreading the story.

VISUAL IDENTITY EXPANSION

As the festival expanded globally, the brand required a more cohesive, high-impact visual architecture to guide the entire customer journey. Over two years, I scaled the brand identity beyond its original CI to ensure a consistent, memorable experience across every platform. From early digital touchpoints to full-scale event immersion onsite. By establishing dynamic visual rules, flexible color hierarchies, and clear typographic systems, I created an extended design language that kept the brand instantly recognizable, engaging, and adaptable across every city and channel.

GFT FORUM SUB-BRANDING

For the launch of the GTF FORUM series, I created a distinct sub-brand tailored for executive discussions and strategic dialogue. The goal was a clean, focused visual language that felt refined enough for C-level panels while remaining closely tied to the main festival brand. Using minimalist grids, elevated typography, and a structured layout, I delivered a clear visual framework built for high-level industry exchange.
